SAN ANDREAS is a new artist out of the Bay Area in California. In 2017, he released two songs, Emergency and Bow & Arrow through the record label, Fresh Goods Music. Both songs are approaching 20,000 listens on Spotify and they’re sure to continue to climb! To my ears, both songs have a huge Dirty Heads influence. Anyone who is a fan of them will love these songs. The guitar riffs paired with the beats incorporates elements of Hip Hop, Reggae and Rock all into one song.
SAN ANDREAS was raised in Freemont, California. He referred to it as a “sleeper city with no downtown.” This led him and his friends to “jam music and travel on BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) with guitars to seek entertainment.” He then moved to Southern California to pursue his passion in music. Upon arriving, SAN ANDREAS found himself living it up in OC by Newport Beach. When speaking to SAN ANDREAS, he stated that “After being between places in OC and on and off the road as a photographer/videographer for reggae rock bands, I finally decided to change gears and move to Hollywood to really dive into the music scene. Here I run a music production company called Fresh Goods Music with my older brother Rome. It always keeps me on my toes for my music in which I’m passionate about creating. I want to inspire the youth to go outside and make themselves. Nothing should hold us back, and the day and age of possessing one talent or trait is over. It’s okay to be multi-talented and want to do everything! Just focus and get on it!”
With the success of these first two releases, I am excited to see what is in store for SAN ANDREAS. He has a song dropping February 16th and will be announcing some shows around the time of the release.
