Nonstop to Cairo starts “Million Dollar Space” off with their classic sound that we all know and love so well. Guitar/Vocalist Nick Diamond executes the classic funk sound flawlessly and keeps the heat pumping throughout! The boys did an amazing job of sticking to their roots, combining Alt Rock sounds with Funk, Ska-Punk and Hip Hop. Front man August Harris excels at capturing the attention of the listener instantly with his catchy lyrics and a dope flow. His vocals compliment the horns and drumming perfectly and will have you singing and dancing all night long! If you’re looking for your summer anthem, look no further. “Million Dollar Space” is a song that I think every person needs to REALLY dive into and give a thorough listen. At first glance, you see the title and think its a fun and easy-hearted song. While it may present that way, the lyrical content is much deeper. During the chorus, both August and Nick sing, “Look inside my place I got a million-dollar space, said, look inside my place, my place is empty”. This speaks volumes to the way a majority of our society lives today. We are always fighting for more, to have the most and the best, but at what cost? Are we truly happy? Was all the effort worth it? Fortunately, I got the chance to hear August Harris’ take on the new single. “Million Dollar Space personifies the never ending hustle. Something we can all relate too. Making as much money as possible. To be able to do whatever you want it seems, but at the end of the day, when do you really get to enjoy it? People go their whole life running themselves into the ground to have a small fleeting moment of living. I’ve always thought that to be a real life struggle that people go through on the daily. I’m just here to tell you that there is more to your life than making a buck. Wake up, take a breath, and be grateful for the day. You, as a human being, are already hitting the lottery. Above all else enjoy your time here while you have it. The fruits of your labor is beyond ‘the mighty dollar’”.
