  • Dale and the ZDubs – “Off The Rip” Single Review

Dale and the ZDubs are a Reggae Rock band out of Washington D.C.  After taking a three year hiatus, Dale and the boys are back and better than ever.  The band released five kick-ass tracks throughout 2022, including one that features The Elovaters and one the features Bumpin Uglies!  Today, Dale and the ZDubs dropped their first single of 2023, “Off The Rip” and it is exactly what I anticipated; straight fire!

If you’re looking to get the party started, “Off The Rip” is the song you need in your daily rotation of music!  It is a fun, upbeat track that will call to all reggae rock fans.  “Off The Rip” starts off with the sound of the symbols that leads directly into a catchy guitar chord and Dale’s strong vocals.  From there, Dale and the ZDubs will have you hooked!  One aspect I really enjoy is the progression of the tempo.  The fast verses that transition into the slowed down chorus flow perfectly!  “I was so close to being so sweet. But now I’m so far from where I want to be. But I love how you hold me down. Even though the bottom fell out.”  Another thing I love about this song is the way the band transitions into just a slightly heavier rock instrumental.  Along with Dale singing “I got you and you got me“, you can’t help but sing and rock out!

Dale and the ZDubs are back and better than ever!  “Off The Rip” is another instant classic from their recent releases and I can’t wait to hear more!  Make sure you follow Dale and the ZDubs to stay up to date with the band!  Stream “Off The Rip“, and other amazing Dale and the ZDubs songs here on our Spotify playlist!
