Long Island’s six-piece jam band The Big Happy released their most recent single “Won’t Stop” last year and if you haven’t added this single, and The Big Happy for that matter, onto your new decade bops you are definitely missing out. The single is unlike anything this band has made in the past and it is a telling sign that they’re gearing up for some revolutionary things in the new year!
What I have always enjoyed about The Big Happy’s music is how their tracks are always so much fun and have some sort of story behind them; some of my favorites by them are most definitely “Father Jim” and “Love Me Inside Out”. But what really drew me to “Won’t Stop” is how fucking infectious the chorus is! So much so that I haven’t been able to get it out of my head since the band has released the single! MCs Nikki and Austin have such a way of bending and forming fantastically complex verses that you cannot help to bump to the beat, coupled with lead guitarist Joseph’s addicting chorus blends together in such a funktastic and fun musical soup, you have to wonder how the stars aligned to gather these creative minds together to create such a fantastic single! If you’re looking to incorporate some funk, rap, and jam infusions into your daily music playlists, look no further than “Won’t Stop”.
