Long Island’s own Future Pop band, The Stash, recently put out another incredible single; “Don’t Wait”. The Stash continues to blow me away with their single releases. Each song they put out has the similar vibe that you love to hear on a song of theirs, but encompasses it’s own uniqueness that separates it from their other releases. “Don’t Wait” is further proof that The Stash is here to stay and make an impact on the music scene!
Typically, I don’t feature a band so shortly after writing a review of them. As most may know, I wrote a review of their last single, “I Can’t Feel” a few weeks back. The Stash is just one of those bands that deserves to be played on repeat and get as much recognition and exposure as possible. “Don’t Wait” starts off with the graceful vocals of Christian Evanko. “Yeah I’m still thinking about you, and the way I always stress when you walk in the room, yeah, ‘cause with you I’m at my best.” Fans will love singing along to this every time the band performs it at a show! I really enjoy the simple guitar chord and light drumming that accompanies the beginning vocals. It builds up the song so well and automatically hooks the listener. The Stash does an amazing job of adding depth to the instrumentals in the first chorus and continues throughout the song. The extra drum kick and symbols create a strong, powerful instrumental that will get people grooving along!
In addition to the catchy instrumentals, the message behind the lyrics in this song hold such a strong message. “Still I’ve been thinking about you and I, all the time. And it feels so right, don’t wait for it, don’t wait for it, tonight.” I can absolutely relate to this as I am someone who overthinks and typically waits instead of acting. This shows people that waiting isn’t worth it. If something feels right, no matter what it might be, “don’t wait”. Just go for it!
The Stash is quickly becoming one of my favorite Long Island bands. Release after release they continue to impress me. It’s only a matter of time before The Stash becomes a prominent figure of Long Island! Everyone should check out The Stash and listen to their new single on the blog’s Spotify playlist: After Hours Review!
